The son of late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes comes from WWE royalty but has carved out his own legacy in recent years. The Superstar prodigy made his WWE debut in 2007 and was a force to be reckoned with in Tag Team Championships, hoisting six titles between 2007 and 2016. Rhodes also captured two Intercontinental Championships during that nine-year stretch before eventually pursuing other opportunities outside of WWE.
After some time away from the bright lights of the WWE stage, Rhodes returned in grand fashion as a surprise opponent at WrestleMania 38, leaving his opponent Seth “Freakin” Rollins and the astonished crowd in utter disbelief. Since rejoining the leader in sports entertainment, Rhodes has ascended to the height of WWE stardom and been on a tear, literally and figuratively. During a brutal Hell in a Cell match, Rhodes tore his pectoral muscle but battled through the injury to defeat “The Visionary”.
Rhodes has yet to claim the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but he’s determined to do so and finish his story. Rhodes is one of the toughest and grittiest Superstars in the WWE, making him an excellent cover Superstar for WWE 2K24.
